Easy Cake Recipes For Dogs

Lisa asks…
Is it funny or just a mess?
Diary Of a Young Wife
Monday:
Now home from honeymoon and settled in our new home.
It’s fun to cook for Tim. Today I made an angel food cake and the recipe said, “beat 12 eggs separately.” Well, I didn’t have enough bowls to do that, so I had to borrow 12 bowls to beat the eggs in. The cake turned out fine though.
Tuesday:
We wanted a fruit salad for supper. The recipe said, “serve without dressing.” So I didn’t dress. But Tim happened to bring a friend home for supper that night. They both looked so startled when I served them, I think it was the salad.
Wednesday:
I decided to serve rice and found a recipe which said, “wash thoroughly before steaming the rice.” So I heated some water and took a bath before steaming the rice. Sounded kinda silly in the middle of the day. I can’t say it improved the rice anyhow.
Thursday:
Today Tim asked for salad again. I tried a new recipe.
It said, prepare ingredients,
then toss on a bed of lettuce one hour before serving.” I hunted all over the place for a garden and when I got one, I tossed my salad into the bed of lettuce and stood over there for over one hour so the dog would not take it. Tim came over and asked if I felt all right.I wonder why? He must be stressed at work, I’ll try to be supportive.
Friday:
Today I found an easy recipe for cookies. It said, “put all ingredients in a bowl and beat it.” Beat it I did,to my mum’s place. There must have been something wrong with the recipe, because when I came back home again, it looked the same as when I left it.
Saturday:
Tim went shopping today and brought home a chicken. He asked me to dress it for Sunday. I’m sure I don’t know how hens dress for Sunday. I never noticed back on the farm, but I found an old doll dress and it’s little cute shoes. I thought the hen looked really cute. When Tim saw it, he started counting to ten. Either he was really
stressed because of his work, or he wanted the chicken to dance.
When I asked him what was wrong he started crying and shouting out “why me? why me ?”
Hmmm….It must be his job.

Frannie answers:
Good one…..excellent

…..good job…..keep up the good ones

Frannie answers:
There are some great cake recipes in Betty Crocker cook books. No, I can’t read animal’s minds. Good games to play while babysitting are Chutes & Ladders, CandyLand, etc. Give your dog a chew toy or something when you leave him by himself.

Susan asks…
Is this Recipe safe for my Puppies.?
I want to make a dog cake. Should I make like little cupcake cakes for their little bodies or one in like a cake pan and just cut it? Are these ingredients safe? Would you make this? Thank you all for your help in advance.
Peanut Butter Carrot Cake
Naturally sweet, colorful and flavorful, this cake is simple and easy to make. Great for Fall.
• 1 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 cup peanut butter
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup shredded carrots
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1/3 cup honey
• 1 egg
Mix flour and baking soda. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 8″ round cake pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Let cool. Puree cottage cheese in blender for icing. Decorate with more peanut butter and carrots.
also do your dogs have any favorite foods? Including dinner entree or baked good? Please share them. By the way I have Pomeranian. Do you think commercialized food or homemade foods are better. Do homemade foods give them worms?
Sorry for all the questions.
is there an alternative to baking soda?

Frannie answers:
Yes, I would use that as a treat for a dog-party or something. Remember, everything in moderation.
I don’t know what you mean by the third question, exactly. Raw feeding is the best, on top. Feeding a high quality commercial diet is second best. Feeding a homemade (cooked) diet would probably be third, and feeding low quality commercial food would be last. A commercial food is good if it has no corn, unidentified sources of meat, animal by products, or too many grains.
Homemade foods do *not* give dogs worms, that is just a myth.
My dog likes raw venison and pork.

Mandy asks…
1st birthday party menu…. read on please!!?
My son’s first bday is on July 5th. I am having the party that day. I don’t have a lot of money so it will be a bbq in my backyard. I already have cute 1st bday decorations and I am going to do a few small appetizers and for dessert the baby will have his smash cake and I will put out a tray of cupcakes, brownies, and cookies for everyone. I need a cheap easy menu for the bbq part. I am thinking hamburgers, hot dogs, and some cold salads. But, that seems to boring to me. Does anyone else have some suggestions for quick, easy, and CHEAP bbq food I could do for about 30 people (adults and kids). I also could us some good cold salad or side dishes (recipes or ideas). Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help.

Frannie answers:
